The Secret Garden is a beautiful community space where food, flowers and friendships grow. The garden is tucked away behind a cul-de-sac in Queens Drive, Stoneycroft, L13 0AQ (opposite the Toby Carvery Stoneycroft). Please note the paths are uneven in places – please wear suitable footwear.

Regular activities (all free):

Wednesdays 10am-12.00pm: Drop in food growing and garden group – all welcome (adults 18+)

Wednesdays 1.30-3.30pm: City & Guilds Level 1 Practical Horticulture Skills with Myerscough College (adults 19+)

Roots in the City is a community garden and eco hub created in partnership with Faiths4Change, St Michael in the City Church and local people. We grow healthy, organic fruit and vegetables which are harvested weekly for the Micah foodbank at St Brides Church. Everyone is welcome to get involved.

• Tuesdays 10am-12pm: Grow Well Together group – garden and nature based activities
• Thursdays 10am-12pm: City & Guilds Level 1 Practical Horticulture Skills with Myerscough College
• Thursdays 4.30-6.30pm: Grow Your Own young peoples’ food growing group (ages 16-30) for local people who don’t have access to an outdoor growing space
• Fridays 10am-12pm: City & Guilds Level 2 Practical Horticulture Skills with Myerscough College

The Grapes Community Food Garden is run by Squash Liverpool CIC. Designed and developed by local residents since 2010, the garden is a vibrant, mature, green space much-loved by neighbours and visitors alike. It produces significant yields of food crops that are cooked up for communal weekly meals, taken home by volunteers or made into preserves. The garden is also home to Toxteth Seed Library, a long-term seed sovereignty project that delivers Liverpool’s annual Seed Share each February and Seed Save each September.

Drop-in gardening, cooking and wellbeing sessions for L8 residents are held from 10am – 1pm on Wednesdays. For more information, please contact Jackie.
