Roots in the City is a community garden and eco hub created in partnership with Faiths4Change, St Michael in the City Church and local people. We grow healthy, organic fruit and vegetables which are harvested weekly for the Micah foodbank at St Brides Church. Everyone is welcome to get involved.
Regular activities (all free):
- Tuesdays 10am-12pm: Grow Well Together group – garden and nature based activities
- Thursdays 10am-12pm: City & Guilds Level 1 Practical Horticulture Skills with Myerscough College
- Thursdays 4.30-6.30pm: Grow Your Own young peoples’ food growing group (ages 16-30) for local people who don’t have access to an outdoor growing space
- Fridays 10am-12pm: City & Guilds Level 2 Practical Horticulture Skills with Myerscough College
