Converted double decker buses serving inner-city estates and coastal communities, ex-mobile libraries, retired St John’s Ambulance vehicles reaching rural villages and e-cargo bikes loaded with fruit and vegetables. These are just some of the mobile affordable food projects being developed across the UK through the Feeding Britain network.

Closer to home, Liverpool is already home to the Mobile Food Pantries supported by Fans Supporting Foodbanks, with new mobile affordable food projects being developed.

Feeding Britain have produced a toolkit for organisations seeking to get involved in developing these projects, which outlines some of the considerations for anyone developing a mobile affordable food project.
