We are going to commit to improving the fresh food offering at our pantry and improving community access to our church allotment.
Micah Liverpool
At Micah Liverpool we pledge to endeavour to offer the most healthy and nutritious food parcel possible through our emergency food aid project, including fresh fruit & vegetables. as well as the following:
Appoint a good food champion in our organisation
Undertaking food insecurity screening with our employees
Host a good food consultation with our staff or service users
Be a real wage employer
Offer advice and support to other organisations/individuals about food insecurity
Micah Liverpool is committed to supporting Feeding Liverpool’s good food plan.
Croxteth Community Garden
I pledge to make all food grown at Croxteth Community Garden available to the community for free, and to be a drop-off point to distribute any surplus stock. I also pledge to be a community hub for people to meet.
South Liverpool Zero Waste Community
The team at South Liverpool Zero Waste Community pledge to continue to collect and redistribute surplus food to families, food pantries and community groups in South Liverpool.
LCVS
As the local infrastructure organisation LCVS will engage with the plan and any developments. We will support communication with wider VCF groups and provide support for local groups to deliver interventions which contribute to the plan and address local health inequalities.
